The months leading up to a sports season are extremely important for the athletes and coaches. It can be said that the work done in the preseason will have just as much of an impact on the season’s results as the work put in during the actual season. The preseason is a time for preparing the body and mind, both mentally and physically. But such diligent preparation isn’t just left to those participating on the field.
In most minor and niche sports, the entertainment element at the stadium, arena, or ballpark is as important to the overall fan experience as the games going on on the field or court. Turning first-time fans into repeat customers is key to the business model, as repeat customers help sustain ticket sales throughout the season.
So while it’s important to put an entertaining (and hopefully winning) product on the field, the best sports franchises also know what it takes to keep their fans engaged throughout their visit to the venue. The Remedy provides such engagement and enhanced experiences for Dallas Sidekicks fans who come to the arena for indoor soccer but leave impressed by the breadth of the action on the overall experience.
In that vein, The Remedy recently completed two days of video shoots with the Sidekicks players, dancers, and coaches. The Remedy, which produces and directs all of the Sidekicks’ live events, partnered with Rush Olson Creative & Sports and Ludisian Legion Entertainment to create the video promotions that will be used to entertain the crowd during timeouts on game nights. The Remedy concepted and wrote all of the elements, with Rush Olson Creative & Sports and Ludisian Legion Entertainment producing the individual pieces.
In all, the two days of shooting will provide a substantial part of the in-game promotional elements and fan contests seen in the Allen Event Center during the season. From fan interactive elements to funny skits and promotions, the Dallas Sidekicks are once again poised to prove that they are not only one of the best teams in the league, but also one of the best fan experiences.
