The Remedy has partnered with the Texas Wild, a member of the Mylan World TeamTennis league, to provide graphic design and branding services for the organization. As part of its service to the Wild, The Remedy will design various branding elements for the team, including preseason schedule posters, ticket sales brochures and flyers, and sponsorship collateral. The Remedy will also develop a marketing campaign around the “wild Summer Nights” theme that it developed for the organization.
The Texas Wild enter their second year in the metroplex in 2014 and play their home matches at the Four Season Resort and Club Dallas at Las Collinas, the only Five Diamond resort in Texas.
“We are excited to be working with the Texas Wild as they continue to develop their brand and increase their awareness among sports fans in the metroplex,” said Stephen Evans, President of The Remedy. “They provide a unique product with tons of excitement and the ability for fans to closely interact with some of the top professional tennis players in the world. There is a ton of potential in the Texas Wild, and we hope to help them realize that potential.”
World TeamTennis was co-founded by tennis legend Billie Jean King in the 1970s and showcases the best in professional team tennis competition, playing in an innovative co-ed format. The WTT season falls in July between Wimbledon and the U.S. Open when tennis interest and awareness are at their peak. Each WTT team hosts seven home events during the season, with the potential to host additional playoff matches. Each team is comprised of two men, two women, and a coach. Team matches consist of five sets, with one set each of men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
The Texas Wild were Western Conference Finalists during their inaugural season in 2013. Other teams in the league reside in Austin, Sacramento, New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and Springfield, Mo.
The Wild open the season on July 8 at home against a Washington Kastles team that includes professional tennis greats Martina Hingis and Venus Williams.
